Workshop on Cooperation of Enterprises with the European Space Agency (ESA)

On 28 May 2014, Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI) is organizing a workshop on cooperation of Slovenian enterprises with the European Space Agency (ESA) within the ESA collaboration framework.

The scope of the workshop will be on discovering and identifying the potentials of Slovenian enterprises in the view of future applications for ESA projects, as well as on possible cooperation within the Planetary Habitat Simulation Project (PlanHab) conducted by JSI.

The workshop will be attended by JSI scientists, led by prof. dr. Igor B. Mekjavić, world-renowned researcher in the field of environmental physiology and coordinator of the PlanHab project, dr. Patrik Sundblad, research coordinator at the Swedish Space Physiology Centre, Royal Institute of Technology, and former Human Research Coordinator at ESA, delegates of the Slovenian Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and representatives of enterprises that share the interest to participate in space technology projects.

Enterprises’ representatives will have the opportunity to introduce their enterprises’ projects and potentials, which will be followed by the discussion of all the participants, aiming at recognition of possible synergy of ideas and new development strategies, while attendance of dr. Sundblad, prof. dr. Mekjavić and representatives of experienced enterprises will ensure comparison with the best European practices.

In the course of the workshop, participants will obtain the information and knowledge necessary for preparation of prosperous and successful applications for ESA projects, enabling them to reinforce and strengthen their market position.

The workshop will take place in the conference hall of the European Union House in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
